The Libertines Rumoured To Be Performing At Glastonbury Festival

According to reports, The Libertines are set to reunite once again this summer in order to perform at Glastonbury Festival.
The band reformed last year to play at the Reading and Leeds festivals, and were said to have received more than £1 million collectively for the surprisingly organised performances.
But reports in The Sun today claimed that sources close to the band have declared that Pete Doherty, Carl Barat and co. are up for performing at Glastonbury 2011. They said: "Although there are no signs of new songs, the boys have realised that they can take a nice payday by playing each summer. They bagged more than £1million for Reading and Leeds in 2010 and, although they won't get as much for Glasto, it will still be a good earner."
The rumours come less than a week after Docherty posted a message on his blog saying that his manager had phoned him, saying that "There's some offers for Libertines gigs." The post was removed almost immediately and no comment has been made since from the singer.
Although no line-up has been confirmed as of yet, Michael Eavis’ festival is widely believed to have already confirmed Cee Lo Green, Biffy Clyro and The Vaccines as performers, as well as headliners Beyonce and Coldplay.
