Lady Antebellum “humbled” by Grammy Success

Monday, 14 February 2011 Written by James Conlon

Nashville country group Lady Antebellum may not be the most recognisable band on the planet, but rest assured that after picking up five Grammy Awards last night, you will definitely be hearing their name again.

The group have said that they are “humbled” by their trophy haul, which included the 'Record Of The Year' and 'Song Of The Year' titles.

Speaking backstage after the awards, lead singer Hillary Scott said: "We are completely floating. We're on a cloud. It is just the most humbling feeling in the entire world."

She continued: "We really wanted to make Nashville and the country community proud tonight, and I hope they feel that way. I think it just shows that country music is relevant, and it's relatable. I just hope they think we're flying the flag right."

The band then posted a video on their Twitter account thanking fans for all the support that they have received over the last year. For those of you who haven’t heard of the group previously, you can check out the video for their Grammy-award winning ‘Song Of The Year’ ‘Need You Now’ below:
