The Get Up Kids Add Leeds Date to October Tour & Tickets

Following news of their forthcoming show at London’s KOKO venue in October, The Get Up Kids have now added a second date in Leeds. The recently-reformed pop-punkers will play at the city’s Cockpit venue on 4th October, the day before the London date.
The Get Up Kids were last here in the UK for last year’s Reading and Leeds festivals, as well as their own headlining dates at the Underworld in London. Speaking about the band’s upcoming shows, frontman Matt Pryor said: “We're really excited to finally be doing a proper European headlining tour. These shows are going to be a good party.”
Earlier this year, The Get Up Kids released their fifth album ‘There are Rules’, which was also their first in seven years. In 2005, shortly after the release of their fourth album ‘Guilt Show’, the band decided to go their separate ways. They reformed for a reunion tour in 2009 and announced the release of their new album the following year. The new dates in October will mark the band’s first UK shows since the release of ‘There are Rules’.
