Matt Pryor of The Get Up Kids has shared another track from his upcoming solo album.
Blending urgent, emotionally charged indie-rock with punk elements, The Dishonesty captures a gritty, honest tone while exploring the road to sobriety. Pryor explained:
"This is a song about lying and hurting the people you love when you’re in the throes of addiction. I think Josh really captured the insanity of how that feels."
The song, which arrives with a video directed by Josh Berwanger, offers another glimpse into 'The Salton Sea', due out on November 14 via Nightshoes Syndicate. It follows the previously released lead single and title track.
Self-produced, with mixing and additional production by Peter Katis, the 10-song record draws from a difficult time in Pryor's life, when casual drinking escalated to dependency.
