Hot on the heels of Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue’s departure from the X-Factor, N-Dubz’s female singer Tulisa Contostavlos has apparently signed on to become part of the show’s brand new panel.
There have been rumours in the past few days that the 22-year old would be joining the show, but it has now been confirmed through Heat Magazine’s Twitter page that she would be judging alongside Destiny Child’s Kelly Rowland and Take That’s Gary Barlow, as well as the only remaining original judge Louis Walsh.
It will be the show’s first run without the iconic Simon Cowell, who has left the show as a judge but will still be behind the scenes – unlike Cheryl, who is upset at Cowell’s treatment of her following her exit from both the US and UK versions of the hit show.
There were also rumours that Cheryl would be making a swift return to the X-Factor following her US dismissal, but the arrival of Contostavlos looks like there will be no way back for the Geordie singer.
The mostly brand new panel will be flexing their judging muscles very soon, with the auditions for the new series starting in the coming weeks.
