Biffy Clyro Already Have Score Of New Songs Ready For Next Album

Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro have revealed that they have already constructed over 20 songs for their new album.

The band’s last album release was 2009’s ‘Only Revolutions’, but fresh from a massive US tour in which they supported the Foo Fighters and the legendary Motorhead, the band seem ready to get into the studio to complete what would be their sixth LP.

Speaking from the Kerrang! Awards last week, frontman Simon Neil revealed the details of the album-making process.

"We know what kind of album we're going to make. We know how it's going to play out, the structure of it.

"Bands have to keep moving forward. Any band that sits for a few years not writing songs is in trouble. It's just a case of getting it done. We're champing at the bit.”

Guitarist and vocalist Neil then went on to talk about the band’s time on tour with the two mega-bands, and the band’s up and coming shows, including one where they will again be supporting the Foo Fighters.

"It was a fabulous few weeks, we're very tired but very happy.

"We're not doing too much [this summer] but the things we are doing are really great. We're doing Sonisphere, Glasto and the Foos' show. It doesn't get any better than that.

"Just to watch Foo Fighters for two nights in a row is gonna be pretty exciting."
