The Red Hot Chili Peppers are expected to announce the dates of a UK tour next week, following the premier of their new single yesterday.
The Chilis have been producing their tenth studio album for around two years, following a hiatus after 2006’s Stadium Arcadium. Now, with their latest LP almost ready for release, the band have begun pre-orders for the disc. Online shopping site play.com is now offering pre-sale tickets when you pre-order the Chili’s new album – indicating that dates will be on their way shortly.
As usual, forums over the net are spouting out rumour upon rumour, and now there is speculation that the band will be announced as the headline act of Sonisphere 2012. Classic Rock also reported that the Chilis will be in Europe in October and November later this year to promote their album – leaving the chance of a UK tour announcement imminent and extremely likely.
Keep posted on Stereoboard for a full set of RHCP dates in the near future.
