Mark Ronson & The Business Intl to Release New Single Next Month

Record producer Mark Ronson and his band The Business Intl are to release their new single ‘Record Collection 2012’ on 5th September through Kitsuné. The single is a reworking of the title track from Ronson’s third album ‘Record Collection’, which entered the UK Albums Chart at Number Two upon its release in September last year. ‘Record Collection 2012’ features vocal contributions from rappers Pharrell, Wiley and Wretch 32, as well as a collaboration with MNDR, who previously appeared on Ronson’s Top 10 single ‘Bang Bang Bang’.

Speaking about the new single, Kitsuné said: “The least we can say is that Mark Ronson is some kind of a music genius. He neither anticipated any of his successes, nor does he believe they are true now. After making three successful albums - ‘Here Comes the Fuzz’, ‘Version’ and ‘Record Collection’ - and producing three of the biggest stars in the world - Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse and Adele - Mark Ronson is now releasing ‘Record Collection 2012’ his new single on Kitsuné.”

The original version of ‘Record Collection’ featured Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon and UK grime rapper Wiley. As with Ronson’s previous album ‘Version’, ‘Record Collection’ featured collaborations with a number of well-known vocalists including Boy George, The View’s Kyle Falconer, Ghostface Killah, Q-Tip and D’Angelo. Ronson’s biggest hits to date are his covers of The Smiths’ ‘Stop Me’ and The Zutons’ ‘Valerie’, which featured the vocal talents of his friend – the late, great Amy Winehouse.
