Michael McIntyre Quits Britain's Got Talent to Prepare for 2012 Tour

Much loved Britain’s Got Talent judge Michael McIntyre has revealed that he will be departing from the show as he aims to focus on his live stand up routine.
The comedian only joined the show’s judging panel in April this year, but will already be leaving his post along with David Hasselhoff who was removed from the show earlier in the year, to prepare for his UK tour which will see him performing 58 gigs in 11 British cities. A source told how McIntyre made the decision.
“Michael has been weighing it up for a while as he does like the show and enjoyed being on the panel. But his first love is comedy and he wanted to embark on a tour and concentrate on that.”
Michael himself also spoke about his choice to ditch the talent show in an interview with The Sun.
“I absolutely loved being a judge but have been itching to get back on stage myself. I wish the show and production team every success.”
It’ll be interesting to see who the show gets in as to replace both McIntyre and the Hoff, with Amanda Holden the only remaining judge left on the panel.
