The Stone Roses Rumoured For V Festival 2012 Slot

In-demand reunited rockers The Stone Roses could be performing at next year’s V Festival, according to newspaper The Sun.

The Mancunian legends recently announced their return to the scene with three massive comeback shows which could apparently earn them £10million, and will also be looking to play in 2012’s festival circuit. After signing up for T in the Park and Benicassim (which will earn them £1million each), it looks like V Festival could be in for a Stone Roses treat too.

The paper’s source told them: “The Roses' upcoming tour has been put together by SJM, the same tour promoters who have looked after Take That, Oasis, and Coldplay for their massive shows. Every year V Festival pulls in some huge acts. Eminem and Rihanna, who played this year, will be tough acts to follow, but the Roses are a massive draw.”

The band are even taking their classic sounds to Japan for Fuji Rocks 2012, and are rumoured to play at Oxygen Festival next year too. So it doesn’t seem unlikely that they’d rock out Staffordshire when V Festival rolls around on August 18th. Keep up to date with Stone Roses news with Stereoboard.
