X-Factor's Frankie Cocozza Expelled From Show

X-Factor party animal Frankie Cocozza has been booted from the show after he bragged and boasted about his non-stop antics, which included taking Class A drug Cocaine.

While partying and drug taking goes hand in hand with rockstars and celebrities, X-Factor chiefs and producers weren’t happy when they found out that Cocozza had been going wild during the final rounds of the competition. Newspaper The Sun also reported that Cocozza had broken one of the shows “golden rules” by conversing about his drug use in front of producers. He had previously been warned multiple times about his crazy behaviour.

“I would like to apologise to Gary Barlow, my fellow contestants and everyone who has voted for me,” Cocozza said in a statement. “But, as of today, I will no longer be in The X Factor. My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage has over-stepped the rules of the competition. I no longer deserve my place in the show, so I am therefore leaving. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me.”

Barlow responded to the statement with his own, saying: “Frankie has apologised publicly as well as personally to me and the producers for his actions that led to him leaving the show. I'm hugely disappointed that he's thrown away an opportunity like this after working so hard to get here. I'm sorry to see him go as we've been through a lot together in such a short time. I hope Frankie continues to look to me as a friend and supporter and works it all out, picks himself up and somehow tries to turn this into a positive.”

What is currently unknown is whether the show will seek a replacement for Cocozza, or if they’ll continue with an uneven number of artists from now.
