Welsh rockers Manic Street Preachers were joined two special guests at their epic Christmas show in the London O2 Arena on Saturday night, as they played through each of their 38 singles in spectacular fashion

Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys took over lead vocals for single ‘Let Robeson Sing’, while The Cardigan’s Nina Persson helped perform ‘Your Love is Not Enough’, their 2007 hit track.

The gig was a massive success with fans (despite being 20 minutes late!), who were treated to some of their earliest classics, biggest hits and latest material in one extensive performance of ‘National Treasures’ single compilation.

The band came on stage at around 7:50pm, with frontman Bradfield telling the crowd: “Howdy doody O2. Better late than never ever eh?” They then stormed into ‘You Stole the Sun From My Heart’, before ripping through their set like there was no tomorrow – with one Faceooker writing: “8 songs and it flew by. Incredible gig, no band inspires such devotion like the Manics.”

They also paid tribute to former band member Richey Edwards, who died in 1995, playing his track ‘Faster’, with Wire describing it as Richey’s ‘masterpiece’. A full set-list is below.
