Paul McCartney Falls Down Stairs At Liverpool Gig

Beatles legend Paul McCartney took a tumble at the end of a gig in Liverpool recently – falling down the stairs as he left the stage.
Macca was in the Liverpool Echo Arena performing to a large crowd, and put on a hell of a show – so good he could hardly contain himself, slipping to the ground as he tried to exit the stage. McCartney isn’t a man to be flustered up though, and had a good laugh at his own expense.
A source told The Sun: “He's not accident-prone so it's unusual for him to be clumsy. He saw the funny side.”
Hopefully for Paul, none of his celebrity mates were there to see him fall – especially after he just told press how much he enjoys seeing his star friends at his gigs.
“I always like the celebs coming,” he told The Sun. “I’ve always been a bit like that. The Beatles used to say to me, ‘You’re a bit star-struck!’ and I’d say, ‘Come on! It’s Prince Philip – he’s a Royal!’ I have an innocent excitement about it all.
“I knew Wayne Rooney was coming [to a gig in Manchester]. Rooney, he’s not a bad player, my boy. And I hear he plays guitar. Don’t tell him but I’ve got to get his autograph for one of my grandkids. There’s always a bit of that for the grandkids.
McCartney is set to be releasing a new album soon, filled with covers of his favourite tracks and tunes. It hits shelves on February 6th.
