'We Don't Really Care If Rock Music Dies Out', Say The Black Keys

Ohio-based rockers The Black Keys have revealed that they ‘don’t really care’ if rock music dies out – just as long as music itself doesn’t die out too.
We recently ran a story about the rocking duo detailing their dislike for Canadian band Nickelback, with the ‘Tighten Up’ singers blaming them for ‘killing rock n’ roll’. Now, frontman Dan Auerbach has taken a different tone, saying that he really doesn’t care if rock n’ roll dies out – as long as he can still play music.
“Is rock music dead? Ha. Honestly? I don't really care,” Auerbach told the Independent. “I don't listen to just one kind of music. As long as music doesn't die, I'll be OK. All that talk is just fads and stories and that's not my job. I don't worry about anything other than playing music. We've always ignored the trends.”
Previously, he told Rolling Stone: “Rock and roll is the music I feel the most passionately about, and I don’t like to see it ruined and spoon-fed down our throats in this watered-down, post-grunge crap, horrendous shit.”
