Leicester-based rockers Kasabian have claimed that when they walk onstage at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals, the whole place ‘will come alive’ – and they’ll ‘thrive off it’.
The band were announced as the headline act for the Saturday of Reading Festival and the Sunday of Leeds Festival, and have promised fans that their set will be one of the best, adding that it’s an ‘honour’ to be asked back to the festival to top the bill.
Asked by NME what songs they’ll be playing during their set, the band’s frontman Tom Meighan replied: “All of them. The moment we walk on that stage, the place will come alive. That's where we most comfortable. We love playing live rock 'n' roll. We thrive off it. We've not been to Reading and Leeds for a long time, we've done the Vs and the other places and it's nice to be asked back. They've been getting the same bands for the last five years, but it's an honour to play there.”
The full line-up of the festival was announced just yesterday, and will see The Cure and the Foo Fighters headlining alongside Kasabian. If you want to check the line-up, you can see it below – along with a link to buy tickets.
