Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi Gives Update On Cancer Battle

Tony Iommi, guitarist of reformed rock legends Black Sabbath, has given fans an update on his ongoing battle with Lymphoma.
Tony diagnosed with the cancer in January and forced Black Sabbath to cancel all of their summer dates except Download Festival. However, despite the cancellations, Iommi has remained very positive and optimistic and has updated fans on his condition via his official Facebook page.
“Hiya, a little update on how it's all going,” Iommi wrote. “Well, I've had the last dose of chemotherapy so hopefully my body will start to get back to normal soon, the steroids were the worst. I've now got three weeks of radiotherapy coming up which I'm told can be very tiring so we'll see.
“A big thanks to Ozzy and Geezer for coming over to England, it was a big incentive for me, we managed to work most days and have some great new tracks. And, importantly thanks again for your kind messages, hope to be seeing you soon.”
Like most fans, we at Stereoboard are hoping that Tony makes a full recovery from the condition – especially in time for the band’s scheduled performance at this year’s Download Festival.
