Queen & Adam Lambert To Play London's Hammersmith Apollo & Tickets

Queen and Adam Lambert are to perform a two-night stand at London's Hammersmith Apollo this July.
Iconic rockers Queen have lined-up the London shows following the cancellation of Sonisphere Knebworth Festival, which the band were set to headline. The new-look Queen had one gig scheduled for 2012; a closing slot at this summer's ill-fated Sonisphere Festival. Now, following the cancellation of the festival, to make it up to fans the band will perform four shows across Europe - with two of them set for London's Hammersmith Apollo on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th July.
Speaking of the up and coming shows, Queen drummer Roger Taylor said: "We're really excited about it. Adam... of course he has this unbelievable range, like Freddie (Mercury) had range. Adam can really cover it. He's an extraordinary singer and a real talent. I feel he fits into our sort of theatricality. We're just going to see what happens, how well it goes, how we get on."
Taylor went on to talk about the band's other live options, adding that the band could be in line to perform at the Olympic Games closing ceremony - though he said "I don't think we're meant to say too much about it yet."
