Bloc Party have confirmed a trio of UK live dates, following their recent announcement that they have penned a new record deal which will see them release a follow-up to 2008 album ‘Intimacy’. Tickets for Bloc Party are onsale now.
Now signed to Frenchkiss Records, Bloc Party, who have just finished recording their fourth album in New York, have unveiled plans to play three intimate UK shows this summer at London's KOKO, Manchester's Ritz and Glasgow's Garage.
Commenting on the shows, frontman Kele Okereke said: "Hello internet, I know it’s been a long two and half years since bloc party last performed in the UK. Well it seems that wait is over, we are happy to announce a short run of intimate shows for our friends in the UK and our friends in the US. We will be playing choice cuts from our new record as well as some more familiar jams. We hope to see you soon."
The new UK shows will kick-off a busy Summer for Bloc Party. The band head out to Europe and the US in July and August.
