After revealing Iron Maiden as the first headliner for next year's Download, organisers have this morning announced Rammstein as the second headline act to be confirmed for 2013's festival.
Giving their first ever Download performance on Sunday 16th June 2013, Rammstein join fellow headliners Iron Maiden who bring their triumphant "Maiden England" tour to Donington Park on the 25th Anniversary of their first headline performance at the legendary home of rock.
Speculation that Rammstein were to headline Download 2013 went into overdrive yesterday when festival news website www.virtualfestivals.com reported that the Germans had self-confirmed their appearance by listing Download on their summer live schedule on their Facebook page.
You may recall a similar mishap occurring last year when Seattle grunge icons Soundgarden self-confirmed their summer schedule, which included an appearance at this year's Download, ahead of the official announcement by festival organisers.
