Bon Jovi Respond To Green Day's Claims They Were 'Worst Band' They've Ever Toured With

Richie Sambora, guitarist for 80s rock legends Bon Jovi, has responded to Billie Joe Armstrong’s comments that he and his band were the worst Green Day has ever toured with, claiming that he doesn’t recall a time that the pop-punk band ever even opened for them.
Armstrong recently told Kerrang! that the best band he and his bandmates had toured with were Swedish rockers The Hives - and the worst was Bon Jovi. Responding to the claims, Sambora simply revealed that he can’t even remember touring with Green Day - but duly apologised for the lack of fun they seemed to have had together.
“I have no idea what happened with that, I actually don't recall them opening for us," Sambora told Rolling Stone. “Either I was incapacitated at that point or I just don't remember it. I'm sorry he had such a bad time.”
It’s hardly surprising that Bon Jovi weren’t able to keep up to with Armstrong’s antics, the frontman recently smashed up a guitar on stage and entered rehab for substance abuse.
