American Woman Drops Hearing Damage Lawsuit Against Justin Bieber

American Woman Attempting To Sue Justin Bieber After Damaging Her Hearing At Gig Drops Case

An American woman attempting to sue Justin Bieber for $9million/£5.8million after damaging her hearing at one of his concerts has now dropped her case, according to reports.

Stacy Wilson Betts, who attended a Bieber gig with her daughter in Oregon in 2010, complained that the Canadian star’s actions and stage setup caused a ‘sound blast’, leaving her with tinnitus and permanently-damaged hearing.

She claimed that a ‘heart-shaped aluminum/steel gondola’ - which Bieber used to be lifted Bieber above the audience - ‘created a wave-like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the arena’. She also said that Bieber ‘enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion’.

After initially looking for a hefty $9million, Betts has now apparently dropped her case - because she can’t find a lawyer to help her move the case forward. Though she stands by her claims, she won’t be continuing the case - meaning Bieber’s up and coming UK tour will go ahead without a hitch.
