American pop rock outfit Maroon 5 have been forced to postpone their June 2013 UK and European tour.
The five-piece have already rescheduled the gigs to take place in early 2014, but have cited ‘unforeseen scheduling commitments’ as their reason for cancelling the eight dates, which included shows in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin, Paris, and Amsterdam.
Tickets for the original gigs will still be valid for the new dates (which you can check out below), but if you wish to get your money back, you’ll be able to get a refund at your point-of-purchase after June 30th.
The band have also announced that Robin Thicke will be their special guest on the tour, replacing the previously announced Neon Trees, while PJ Morton will open all of the gigs on the tour. The Glasgow gig will now take place in The Hydro Arena, which opens in September - as mentioned, all tickets remain valid, and new tickets will go onsale this Thursday (May 23rd) at 10am.
The band have apologised for the cancellation, and promised that their Honda Civic US tour will go ahead as planned. Commenting on the postponement, frontman Adam Levine said:
“We are truly sorry for any inconvenience we have caused our European fans and promise that when we come over in January we will put on a show to remember!”
