TV On The Radio Premiere New Track Mercy - Listen Now

Wednesday, 31 July 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

TV on the Radio have premiered their brand new track, Mercy.

The band revealed earlier this year that they’d been working on new material, with frontman Tunde Adebimpe explaining that they’d been ‘sort of collecting material for a record’, though they added that they’re also ‘only thinking in terms of songs, smaller things we can put out regularly until an album seems possible’.

Mercy premiered via Huffington Post, though the band did perform it live at the All Tomorrow’s Parties they curated recently. It’s the first track that comes via producer and band-member Dave Sitek’s brand new label Federal Prism, while the band have also recorded another track called Million Miles.

Kyp Malone spoke to Huffington Post about the tracks, saying:

“Couldn't be more excited to be getting back into it, all together. The new songs Mercy and Million Miles came to fruition with such ease that it felt like an invitation to get back to this good work.”

You can check out the tracks artwork on the above right, while you can hear ‘Mercy’ embedded below - keep your eyes peeled on Stereoboard for future updates about the band!
