Hours after debuting the video for her new single Roar, Katy Perry have unveiled the artwork for her anticipated new album 'Prism'.
'Prism' is set for release on October 22. Roar is the first single to be lifted from the album and you can check out the new video for the track here.
Katy recently openned up about the content of 'Prism' (she recently confirmed that Roar was inspired by a stint in therapy), revealing that she had the album is inspired 'by the letting the light in and doing some self-refelction.
Perry told MTV: “There's not really any darkness on the record. There's definitely some textures and colours but I think I was saying that when I was going through a different phase, but I really let that light in."The reason why I called this record Prism is because I actually finally let the light in and then I was able to create all these songs that were inspired by letting the light in and doing some self-reflection and just kind of working on myself.”
She continued: "I felt very prismatic because of that; I feel like now I get to show these songs off and share these songs with the listeners and it's almost like I get to beam the colours that I've experienced out from me.”
In other news, Katy will close London's iTunes Festival, the month-long series of live shows, which takes place at London's Camden Roundhouse throughout September. For further details, head to itunesfestival.com
