The Killers Announce New Single Within Coded Message?

Thursday, 12 September 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Las Vegas rockers The Killers appear to have unveiled a coded online message announcing their new single Shot At The Night.

The band revealed an image via their official Facebook page last night, Wednesday September 11, which simply shows a collection of dots that, when translated from Morse Code, reads 'The Killers Shot At The Night'.

Shot At The Night is rumoured to be the band's new single, a joint-effort with French producer M83. The track is also thought to be the first new material to feature on a new album by The Killers, which the band recently teased about.

Drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr. told the Daily Star previously: “I hope there's a new album soon. We've been working on stuff. We were in the studio just the week before last. I want to put out a new record now but it's about getting us all on the same page. I bring a guitar with me everywhere. Playing the same songs over and over again is like having the same dinner every night. So you want to start getting in the kitchen and experimenting a bit.”

The Killers celebrate their 10-year Anniversary on September 16 2013 and have previously tweeted, "September 16th, the 10 year anniversary of our first show in London… #ShotAtTheNight". The tweet has since been deleted leaving fans with some guesswork on what the band may do to mark the milestone.
