The New Pornographers have released a video for War On The East Coast, the second song to emerge from their new album, ‘Brill Bruisers’.
Directed by Thom Glunt, the clip finds AC Newman and friends channelling a mid-90s affectation: the single-take video. Newman told Rolling Stone:
"We were going for some mid-90s second-tier Britpop attitude. In the past, I've never really wanted to be in the video. But with this, we wanted to have fun and fully be in the video."
The band released the title track, complete with interactive artwork, last month. ‘Brill Bruisers’, which was produced by Newman and John Collins, is expected on August 25.
