Megadeth will headline the Sunday night at Bloodstock.
The thrash legends will join Amon Amarth in topping the bill at Catton Park, Derbyshire, with Skindred, Annihilator, Blind Guardian, Testament, Hatebreed, Obituary, Decapitated, Brujeria, Whitechapel, Possessed, Hell and Municipal Waste also set to appear.
In a statement, Dave Mustaine said: “We kick off 2017 by announcing we'll be headlining Sunday night at Bloodstock, one of my favourite, purely metal, British festivals! Megadeth had a blast last time and I can't wait to bring the Dystopia World Tour to Bloodstock this Summer. See ya at Catton Park in August!"
Bloodstock returns between August 10 and 13.
