Superchunk Announce New LP 'What A Time To Be Alive'

Superchunk have announced their new LP.

‘What a Time To Be Alive’ is the band’s first full length since 2013’s ‘I Hate Music’ and follows up a recent brace of 7” releases. You can spin the title track below.

It’s out on February 16 through Merge and features backing vocals from A Giant Dog’s Sabrina Ellis, Katie Crutchfield of Waxahatchee, Magnetic Fields leader Stephin Merritt, Skylar Gudasz, and David Bazan.

In a statement, they said:

"The album is about a lot of things of course but mainly dealing with anxiety and worse in the face of incipient authoritarianism."

Superchunk will tour the US to accompany the record, with a reunited Swearin' joining them on the road for several dates. Head here for details.
