Sigur Rós Share New Tracks Match and End

Thursday, 11 January 2018 Written by Helen Payne

Sigur Rós have shared two new tracks.

Both Match and End were debuted on the latest Netflix series of Black Mirror. Co-written by the post-rock Icelandic band and frequent collaborator Alex Somers, the songs feature in the episode 'Hang The DJ'.

The last material from Sigur Rós came in the form of 'Óveður' in 2016, but they are yet to announce their much-anticipated eighth album.

In November, meanwhile, the band's Jónsi Birgisson announced 'Frakkur 2000-2004', a collection of his solo recordings. The record brings together his previously unreleased solo electronic work, edited down from three albums' worth of material.
