Charles Watson of Slow Club and the Surfing Magazines has announced his debut solo album, 'Now That I'm A River'.
It will arrive on May 18 through Moshi Moshi Records. Speaking about Abandoned Buick, the first track to be shared from the record, he said:
“The band Mates of State left a Yamaha YC30 at the Moshi Moshi Records HQ a few years ago and somehow I’ve ended up babysitting the thing. I love this thing so much. The fuzz setting through a Fender amp is basically the most pleasing sounding thing I’ve ever heard. That’s what does the riff on ‘Abandoned Buick’. Thanks Mates of State, please don’t come back for it.”
Watson will play two shows at the Institute Of Light in London on February 15, the first at 6.30pm and the second at 8pm. Tickets are on sale now, priced at £10 plus fees.
