El Morgan and the Divers have shared their debut single.
Speaking about Decorations, she said:
"I started writing Decorations the day after my father’s wake 8 years ago. There was a torrential rain storm in the morning and wine was flying everywhere out of the glasses and pouring all over the tables in the back yard. The song is about losing sight of what’s important and getting caught up in small world worries."
El Morgan and the Divers' debut album is expected to arrive later this year via Specialist Subject Records.
Morgan also plays in Personal Best, whose other members make up her backing band, the Divers, alongside Gabriel McKenzie of Haters on bass and Rosalind Asprey of Matagot on cello. They will head out on a UK tour in February and April, with the last concluding with a set at Brighton's Washed Out Fest on April 14.
