Albert Hammond Jr Announces New Album 'Francis Trouble', Shares First Single Muted Beatings

Albert Hammond Jr has announced a new solo album.
The Strokes guitarist will release 'Francis Trouble', the follow up to 2015's 'Momentary Masters', on March 9 via Red Bull Records.
The new record was inspired by the stillborn death of his twin brother, Francis, following which he continued to grow undetected until his mother was nearly six months pregnant.
As he was 36 when he heard the story of his brother and because he was born on the 9th day of the 4th month, the album is exactly 36 minutes long.
Speaking about the new material, Hammond Jr said:
“What the music says may be serious, but as a medium it should not be questioned, analyzed or taken too seriously. I think it should be tarted up, made into a character, a parody of itself. The music is the mask the message wears and I, the performer, am the message.”

Albert Hammond Jr is currently on the road with the Killers in the US. He will head to the UK later this month to support Franz Ferdinand on their upcoming tour. Following this he will play a headline London show at Dingwalls before returning to the US.
