Shinedown Announce New Album 'Attention Attention', Share New Track Devil

Wednesday, 07 March 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

Shinedown have announced their sixth studio album, 'Attention Attention'.

With the follow up to 2015's 'Threat To Survival' set to arrive on May 4 via Atlantic Records, the band have also shared director Bill Yukic's video for the first single, Devil, which is out now. Speaking about the record, the band said:

"The 14-track album, Shinedown’s most raw and personal to date, is a mental, emotional and physical journey that follows an individual from life’s lowest lows to the highest highs, as anxieties dissipate and demons disappear... The story that unfolds as the album progresses is a powerful statement about the resolve of the human spirit, our will to overcome struggles and the importance of respecting and leaning on one another."

Check out the album's cover art and stream the new song below.

The band will kick off a world tour in North America later this month and return to the UK to play the main stage at Download festival in June.

Shinedown - Attention Attention (Album Review)
Wed 23 May 2018
It’s been 10 years since Shinedown released ‘The Sound of Madness’, one of the greatest metal-infused hard rock albums of this century. Since then, the Jacksonville gang have produced two records that, although crammed with fine moments, didn’t match the calibre and diversity of that contemporary classic. ‘Attention Attention’ may follow suit in that regard, but it’s easily their strongest and most varied effort since setting that benchmark.

Mon 05 Nov 2018
Concept is sometimes a dirty word in rock ‘n’ roll but it’s one that’s impossible to avoid when you’re talking about New York prog heroes Coheed and Cambria, who have crafted a rich catalogue set against the science-fiction backdrop of The Amory Wars, a comic book written by frontman Claudio Sanchez.
Action Bronson - White Bronco (Album Review)
Fri 23 Nov 2018
This might sound absurd, at least at first, but Action Bronson could quite easily lay claim to being the perfect rap emcee. The New York heavyweight has strong projection, an addictive old-school flow, buckets full of charisma and wordplay on tap. The reason he's frequently compared to Ghostface Killah isn't just his cadence and vocal delivery–his verses often hark back to the Wu-Tang Clan legend in his pomp.
