Florence And The Machine Announce New Album, Share Video For First Single Hunger

Friday, 04 May 2018 Written by Laura Johnson

Florence and the Machine have announced a new album.

'High As Hope' is due to arrive on June 29 through Virgin EMI and follow up 2015's 'How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful'. It boasts collaborations with the likes of Kamasi Washington, Sampha, Tobias Jesso Jr, Kelsey Lu and Jamie xx.

Head below to check out a video for the record's first single, Hunger, along with its artwork and tracklist. Speaking about the new song, Florence Welch said:

"This song is about the ways we look for love in things that are perhaps not love, and how attempts to feel less alone can sometimes isolate us more. I guess I made myself more vulnerable in this song to encourage connection, because perhaps a lot more of us feel this way than we are able to admit. Sometimes when you can't say it, you can sing it."

'High As Hope' tracklist:

1.     June
2.     Hunger
3.     South London Forever
4.     Big God
5.     Sky Full of Song
6.     Grace
7.     Patricia
8.     100 Years
9.     The End of Love
10.   No Choir

The album announcement arrives ahead of the band's headline shows in Halifax, Scunthorpe and London, where they will play the Royal Festival Hall. They will also open for the Rolling Stones at London Stadium on May 25.
