Twenty One Pilots Conclude 'Trench' Video Trilogy With New Track Levitate

Thursday, 09 August 2018 Written by Laura Johnson

Twenty One Pilots have shared a video for Levitate.

The track is the latest to be lifted from their new album, 'Trench', while the clip is the final instalment in a three part story that accompanies the record. The follow up to 2015's 'Blurryface' is out on October 5 through Fueled By Ramen.

The song sees vocalist Tyler Joseph performing at breakneck pace for the full two and a half minutes and shows off yet another string to the band's bow, moving away from the rock-influenced Jumpsuit and hip-hop and reggae driven Nico and the Niners .

The video, meanwhile, was directed by Andrew Donoho, who also helmed the first two parts. It finds Joseph initiated into drummer Josh Dun's rebel group, only to be dragged back out.

The duo will support the new album with the Bandito world tour, which will include dates in the UK and Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, Europe and North America.

Twenty One Pilots - Trench (Album Review)
Mon 08 Oct 2018
In 2015, Twenty One Pilots got their big break. The Ohioans’ fourth album, ‘Blurryface’, summited the US chart and sent two singles into similarly rarefied air. The following year another song, Heathens, ushered in the soundtrack to the hit film, Suicide Squad. The resulting period has seen the band ascend to arena-filling stardom and paved the way for ‘Trench’, a record that combines their distinctive blend of elaborate production with re-upped nu-metal.
The Friction of Molecules: Max´mo Park's Paul Smith Talks 'As Long As We Keep Moving'
Tue 19 Feb 2019
Time is constant, but it rarely seems to be on our side. That’s particularly the case for a lot of bands, who are under pressure to maintain standards as their careers progress and, from certain quarters, to keep doing the same thing in perpetuity. Maxïmo Park’s ‘As Long As We Keep Moving’ is an attempt to reckon with that.
Spielbergs - This is Not the End (Album Review)
Fri 15 Feb 2019
To listen to Spielbergs’ debut album, ‘This is Not the End’, is to picture a room of people in black jeans and denim jackets, with the flash of a white sports sock above a tattered pair of Vans classics. It’s to picture sweat, euphoria, a giddy release of hoarse voices and spilled beer. If you are in your 30s, and coming to terms with the fact, it knows you. It feels the same way.
