Twenty One Pilots have announced a concert film capturing their landmark Mexico City show during The Clancy World Tour.
Filmed during the Grammy-winning Ohio rock duo's sold-out performance to 65,000 fans at the Estadio GNP Seguros last February, Twenty One Pilots: More Than We Ever Imagined will feature footage from the stage alongside intimate, behind-the-scenes access to one of the biggest shows of their career.
Directed by Mark C. Eshleman, the film will arrive via Trafalgar Releasing at IMAX and cinemas worldwide on February 26 for a limited time, with exclusive IMAX previews beginning on February 25. Eshleman said:
“I have spent the better part of the last 16 years of my life following Twenty One Pilots around the world. I have seen them play clubs that were in the basements of bigger clubs for an audience made up of only the other bands on the bill. I have seen them play those clubs as if they were on a festival stage during a headline slot and then quietly drag their gear up the steps and into a trailer that limped behind our touring van. They would chat for hours, fine tuning the show basically no one saw. Their fingers never leave the pulse of the performance; they swear by preparation and a vision.
"For ‘More Than We Ever Imagined,’ we were given the opportunity to capture two perspectives of a Twenty One Pilots performance: over 20 cameras centered around the fans experiencing their show and, the second, the perspective I have had all these years leading up to that sold out stadium in Mexico City, a camera following Tyler and Josh as they take the fundamentals of their show and apply to one of the biggest stages."

Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun released their latest album, and eighth overall, 'Breach', last September, which was followed by a fall North American tour billed as The Clancy Tour: Breach. The release concluded their concept album series that also includes 2015's 'Blurryface', 2018's 'Trench' and 2021's 'Scaled and Icy'.
They'll headline ALTer EGO festival in Los Angeles next weekend, and Innings Festival in Tempe, Arizona next month. They also have multiple European festivals scheduled for the summer, including a headline slot at All Points East in London on August 30, where they'll be joined by special guests Wunderhorse, REN, PVRIS, bbno$, Nova Twins, Kid Kapichi, Dead Pony and Leap.
