Christine And The Queens Releases Video For New Track 5 Dollars

Christine and the Queens has shared a video for 5 Dollars.
The track is the latest to be lifted from 'Chris', which is due out on September 21, while it fuses '80s pop and dancehall undertones with typically toe-tapping results. In a statement, the French musician said:
“The song is so tender, so disheveled. It’s dealing with some kind of love - the kind you can buy. It’s a literal interpretation. A note for a shag - how surprisingly soothing this can be! The power ratio runs clear, like water in your hands; it becomes a pure gesture of love, of ultimate consent.”
The video, meanwhile, was directed by Colin Solal Cardo, who also helmed the Doesn't Matter clip. Héloïse Letissier continued:
“The closet is segmented into two racks - suits and bondage. From there, I wouldn’t advise to conclude anything too drastic, since you’re glaring yourself, in an obscene fashion - voyeur. The hustler is also someone that allows you to project onto him or her, before disappearing to leave you alone with your phantasmes.”
