Video Shared For Previously Unreleased Version Of Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers' You And Me

Friday, 24 August 2018 Written by Laura Johnson

A video has been shared for a previously unreleased version of You and Me by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

The original take on the track appeared on 2002's 'The Last DJ', while this stripped back alternate take was recorded in Petty and his band's clubhouse in 2007.

It will appear on the 'An American Treasure' collection, which is due out on September 28 and marks the first posthumous release since the legendary singer-songwriter's passing on October 2 last year, aged 66.

The video, meanwhile, is a heart-warming three and a half minute tribute to Petty, consisting of fan footage, studio clips and filmed live shows.
