Lamb Of God Unveil Animated Video For Ministry's Jesus Built My Hotrod Cover

Friday, 24 August 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

Lamb of God have released a video accompanying their cover of Ministry's Jesus Built My Hotrod.

The track is from the Virginia metallers' covers album as Burn The Priest, 'Legion: XX', which arrived back in May through Nuclear Blast and features covers of classics by Cro-Mags, Agnostic Front, Quicksand, Ministry, Melvins, S.O.D, the Accused, Big Black, and Richmond punks Sliang Laos, artists that influenced the Virginia metallers in their formative years.

Head here to watch the Heath Bradley-animated video. Speaking about the track, guitarist Mark Morton said:

"This was a benchmark song from the early 90s. We didn’t even originally plan on doing it - producer Josh Wilbur and I learned it real quickly and put it together. It turned out to be one of our favourite songs of the album. It features a side of Randy that people aren’t used to hearing. Nothing was planned, so it felt fun, and we just went for it."

Lamb of God are direct support on Slayer’s final world tour, which hits the UK and Europe this autumn. Tickets are on sale now.
