Chase And Status Return To Jungle With Two New Tracks

Chase and Status will put out a new album, ‘RTRN II JUNGLE', early next year.
It’s no surprise, given the title, that the first cuts to be dropped are fully fledged, massive jungle tracks. Retreat2018 sees Cutty Ranks make a guest appearance, while Heater features a mix of vocal samples from General Levy, as well as an addictive melody running underneath.
The duo are really getting into the jungle spirit, a side step from their previous drum and bass style, by paying tribute to the old school. They headed to Kingston in Jamaica during the making of the new album, working with local MCs and vocalists to create their own dancehall samples. In addition, the producers recently hosted a pop-up exhibition at London’s Selfridges store celebrating the fashion and culture that jungle music encompasses.
