Amon Amarth Reveal Details Of Documentary And Live Album 'The Pursuit Of Vikings'

Friday, 21 September 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

Amon Amarth have announced their new documentary and supporting live album, 'The Pursuit Of Vikings: 25 Years In The Eye Of The Storm.'

Out on November 16, the package will feature live and behind-the-scenes content and extensive band interviews, telling the Swedish quintet's history, through both their own eyes and those of the fans.

Paired with the documentary is the live album/DVD, which contains two different sets at 2017's Summer Breeze Festival in Dinkelsbühl, Germany. The band played a "secret" smaller scale set of older material before headlining on the main stage with full production. Guitarist Olavi Mikkonen explained:

"For the first night, we wanted to write a set list that the fans would enjoy by wholly diving into our back catalog but also keeping it interesting. Putting the two shows together also made us realize that we have a lot of songs to chose from."

In the UK, the release will be available in multiple formats via label Music For Nations. Take a look at the trailer, below.

Concept is sometimes a dirty word in rock ‘n’ roll but it’s one that’s impossible to avoid when you’re talking about New York prog heroes Coheed and Cambria, who have crafted a rich catalogue set against the science-fiction backdrop of The Amory Wars, a comic book written by frontman Claudio Sanchez.
Action Bronson - White Bronco (Album Review)
Fri 23 Nov 2018
This might sound absurd, at least at first, but Action Bronson could quite easily lay claim to being the perfect rap emcee. The New York heavyweight has strong projection, an addictive old-school flow, buckets full of charisma and wordplay on tap. The reason he's frequently compared to Ghostface Killah isn't just his cadence and vocal delivery–his verses often hark back to the Wu-Tang Clan legend in his pomp.
