Bruce Springsteen Shares Land of Hope and Dreams From 'Springsteen on Broadway' Soundtrack

Friday, 02 November 2018 Written by Huw Baines

Bruce Springsteen has released a version of Land of Hope and Dreams from the forthcoming soundtrack to his long-running Broadway show.

‘Springsteen on Broadway’ is expected on December 14, the day prior to the set’s final staging at the Walter Kerr Theatre in New York after 236 nights. Also on December 15, meanwhile, a concert film will make its bow on Netflix.

Land of Hope and Dreams has been kicking around in the Boss’s live show since the late ‘90s but made its studio bow on ‘Wrecking Ball’ in 2012. It’s the penultimate song in the Broadway show and takes on a reflective hue in an acoustic rendition that strips away its usual full band power and rabble-rousing crescendo.

We caught Springsteen on Broadway early in its run. Read all about it here.
