LCD Soundsystem Cover (We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang As Part Of 'Electric Lady Sessions'

Friday, 02 November 2018 Written by Helen Payne

LCD Soundsystem have announced a new live album.

Recorded at New York’s Electric Lady Studios, 'Electric Lady Sessions' is scheduled for release before the end of the year through DFA/Columbia Records.

The first cut is a faithful cover of Heaven 17's (We Don’t Need This) Fascist Groove Thang, which keeps hold of the original's agitated, angular introduction and a bassline so funky you'll dance yourself clean.

James Murphy and co. released the Spotify Singles Series in September, which included a cover of Chic's I Want Your Love, as well as unveiling a video for 'American Dream' track Oh Baby.
