Metallica To Release 'Helping Hands' Live Acoustic Benefit Album In February

Metallica have announced the release of a limited, live acoustic album in 2019.
'Helping Hands...Live & Acoustic at The Masonic' captures the thrash legends' All Within My Hands Foundation benefit concert in San Francisco earlier this month and will arrive on February 1, with all of the band's proceeds going to the organisation.
The album was recorded live and also features Avi Vinocur on mandolin and background vocals, David Phillips on pedal-steel, Henry Salvia on keyboards and Cody Rhodes on percussion. The event, which also included an auction, raised $1.3 million which will be used to work with the organisation's partners at Feeding America and the American Association of Community Colleges.
The vinyl is available for pre-order over at the band's official webstore. It will also be sold at record stores as well as being availble via digital and streaming platforms on the release date.
Recorded by Jason Gossman, mixed by Greg Fidelman and mastered by Reuben Cohen, the album includes performances of Metallica classics, as well as covers of songs by Deep Purple, Nazareth, Bob Seger and Blue Öyster Cult.
