The Who Announce 2019 North American Orchestral Tour

The Who will return to the road this year accompanied by an orchestra.
The legendary British rockers have confirmed two North American legs, the first during May and June and a second in September and October, with a total of 29 performances lined up. Joining vocalist Roger Daltrey and guitairst Pete Townshend on stage will be Simon Townshend, Loren Gold, Jon Button and Zak Starkey.
"The Who are touring again in 2019," Townshend said. "Roger christened this tour 'Moving On!' I love it. It is what both of us want to do. Move on, with new music, classic Who music, all performed in new and exciting ways. Taking risks, nothing to lose. Looking forward to seeing you all. Are you ready?"
Vocalist, Roger Daltrey added, "Be aware Who fans! Just because it's the Who with an orchestra, in no way will it compromise the way Pete and I deliver our music. This will be full throttle Who with horns and bells on."
If all that isn't exciting enough, the Who also recently announced plans to release a new LP alongside the tour, their first since 2006's 'Endless Wire'.
The majority of tickets go on general sale at 10am on January 18, with select shows going on sale at later dates.
