Filthy Friends have announced their new album, 'Emerald Valley'.

Led by the punky first single Last Chance County, album number two will arrive on May 3 via Kill Rock Stars, following up their 2017 debut, 'Invitation'.

Comprised of Sleater-Kinney's Corin Tucker, R.E.M.'s Peter Buck, Scott McCaughey, and Kurt Bloch, the band have also shared the record's cover art and tracklist, which you can view below alongside the new song. Discussing the new track with Rolling Stone, Tucker said:

"It’s about a teenage girl riding the bus through a depressed Northwest town in the 1980s, a version of myself and the frustration I saw there. Riding the bus to work, I saw people struggling to make ends meet and make sense of their lives. It’s disheartening that 30 years later, the struggle for working people might be even greater."

'Emerald Valley' tracklist:

1. Emerald Valley
2. Pipeline
3. November Man
4. Only Lovers Are Broken
5. Angels
6. The Elliott
7. One Flew East
8. Break Me
9. Last Chance County
10. Hey Lacey

But then we also have bands like Puppy, who are able to cast that whole argument in the comic light it often deserves.
