Slipknot Announce Knotfest Roadshow North American Tour, Confirm Summer Release For Sixth Album

Slipknot have lined up a summer release for their upcoming album, while also confirming details of their Knotfest Roadshow Tour.
After days of teasing, the legendary masked metallers have announced that album number six will arrive on August 9 via Roadrunner, the day before they headline the Iowa State Fair in their hometown.
Further specifics about the record are being kept under wraps by Corey Taylor and band, but are due to be revealed in the coming weeks. So far the band have shared All Out Life in previewing the follow up to 2014's '.5: The Gray Chapter'. The track arrived last October with a video directed by Slipknot's Clown, aka M. Shawn Crahan.
The band will accompany the album's release with a 29-date North American tour, kicking off on July 26 in Mountain View, California and culminating on September 8 in the Woodlands, Texas. Joining them on the trek will be Volbeat, Behemoth and Gojira. Tickets for the shows go on general sale at 10am local time on March 8.
Slipknot will return to the UK this summer to top the bill at Download festival as part of a short run of headlining and mainstage festival dates in Europe.
