The Darkness have confirmed the release of their sixth studio album.
The Lowestoft rockers will release 'Easter Is Cancelled' on October 4 via Cooking Vinyl, following it up with a UK and European tour in November. Details of the shows will revealed next week, with tickets on sale April 12. Those who pre-order the follow up to 2017's 'Pinewood Smile' will get first access to the tour information and tickets.
In the meantime, head below to view the album's cover art and a video message from the band. The tracklist will be shared in due course.
"As power hungry clowns cast a shadow of despair across this land, our people cower in tumble-down hovels. The birds do not sing and the children do not dance. Hope is crushed.
"We are men in tight costumes and we are ready to fight with every weapon that the forefathers have bequeathed: The guitar axe, the drum hammer, the bejewelled codpiece, the banshee wail of righteous anger
"Cometh the time, cometh the band, we are The Darkness!"
Prior to the record's release, the band will headline this year's Teddy Rocks festival at Charisworth Farm in Blandford, Dorset on May 4.
