Ellie Goulding Shares New Single Sixteen

Friday, 12 April 2019 Written by Laura Johnson

Ellie Goulding has released a new single.

The nostalgic dance-pop Sixteen follows up the March track Flux. The vocalist said:

“I’m so excited to share “Sixteen” with everyone. That age was such a pivotal year for me in many ways and this song is so close to my heart. It takes me back to the reckless days of being a teenager and I hope it reminds us all about the innocence of youth.”

Goulding will perform at Arena Birmingham on May 4 as part of Free Radio Hits Live and has US shows line up in the summer. She was also recently announced as a contributor to the Game Of Thrones inspired compilation album, 'For The Throne’.

Mon 11 Mar 2019
For Brits of a certain age, Dido’s music represents a particular sense of time and space. The late ‘90s was a period of intense, outward-looking optimism and, though the brilliance of Britpop was fading, even easy-listening pop acts like Dido seemed to have a high degree of creative integrity.
