Stars have announced their first UK and European shows in five years.
The Canadian indie outfit will stop at cities around Europe, before touching down at Manchester’s Deaf Institute, the Workman's Club in Dublin, Galway’s Roisin Dubh, King Tut's in Glasgow, and London’s Scala between September 26 and 30. Tickets go on sale at 10am on April 26.
At each date, the band will celebrate the 15th anniversary of their seminal album ‘Set Yourself On Fire’ by playing it in full, as well as performing various other songs from their back catalogue. The band’s Torquil Campbell reflected:
“Time is an illusion, you're always told that. But we still are affected by anniversaries, all of us. Fifteen years felt like the right time to acknowledge and celebrate a record that changed our lives and has played such an important part in the lives of people we have never even met. It's pretty cool. And while we love moving forward, and we have to, it’s really lovely to look back for a minute, too.”
Stars’ last album was 2017’s ‘There Is No Love In Fluorescent Light’, produced by Grammy Award winner Peter Katis, while they also dropped the single Are You With Me? In November 2018.
